What is Stacks?

Stacks is a blockchain that brings smart contracts, DeFi, NFTs, and decentralized applications to Bitcoin. The platform is open-source, and utilizes a unique connection to Bitcoin through its consensus mechanism called Proof-of-Transfer. Stacks native token, STX, is used to pay for transactions and other resources on the network.
