What is Proof of Transfer (PoX)?

Proof-of-transfer (PoX) is the consensus mechanism used on Stacks to create new blocks and secure the blockchain. PoX is a variation of Bitcoin's proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism, where instead of solving complex mathematical problems, miners transfer the committed cryptocurrency to other participants in the network.
